Our presence at Anuga was not just about promoting our delicious burek products; it was a celebration of tradition, taste, and togetherness.

The Burek Masterclass

One of the highlights of our participation at Anuga was the live performance by our very own burek master. Visitors gathered around our booth in eager anticipation as he demonstrated the art of crafting burek, an age-old tradition that has been cherished for generations. The sight of expert hands deftly working with thin layers of dough and savory fillings was nothing short of mesmerizing. Our master shared the secrets of creating the perfect burek, from the delicate layering of dough to the choice of premium ingredients. It was a delightful showcase of the dedication and craftsmanship that goes into each of our products.

A Taste of Tradition: 500 Kilograms of Burek and Twirled Pie

At Anuga, we didn’t just talk about our burek; we served it to the masses. Visitors were treated to a sensory experience like no other. Over the course of the fair, we baked and generously distributed almost 500 kilograms of our delectable burek and twirled pie. The aroma of freshly baked pastries filled the air, drawing in a curious and hungry crowd. People from all walks of life had the opportunity to savor the rich, savory flavors of our products. It was a delightful moment to see smiles on the faces of those who tasted our burek for the first time or rekindled their love for this beloved Balkan delicacy.

Our journey to Anuga 2023 wouldn’t have been possible without the fantastic organization of the event and the warm welcome we received. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Anuga team for making our participation seamless and memorable. 1. Preparing the Burek:
   Pre heat your oven to 180°C or 350 – 360°F
   Remove the polypropylene bag and (for the best results, this is not necessary, leave the burek pie on a room temperature for 30 – 40 minutes) put the burek pie with the paper tray into the pre-heated oven for a period of 35 to 40 minutes. When the burek pie is ready, remove it from the oven.
   *Since the baking / oven appliances vary, the following instructions are guidelines only. The burek is ready to serve when it is golden brown on the top and bottom.
2. Resting Time:
   After removing the burek from the oven, allow it to rest for a few minutes. This resting period allows the burek to settle and the filling to set, making it easier to slice and serve.
3. Serving and Enjoying:
   Now that your burek is baked to perfection, it’s time to enjoy. Serve the burek warm, accompanied by a yogurt, ayran or even a tea on the side. Burek is a versatile dish that can be enjoyed as a main course, appetizer, or even as a snack. Its rich flavors and delicate layers will surely impress your family and friends.

Before you start with preparing, there are two important things that you should know:
1. It’s not suitable for microwave ovens
2. If thawed, do not re-freeze.

So, let’s start!
Remove the Burek pie from the package and put into a conventional oven WITH the included tray that comes with the package. If the product has been thawed, reduce cooking time accordingly. Since appliances vary, the following instructions are guidelines only. The Burek pie is ready to serve when it is golden brown on the top and bottom.

Step 1
Preheat oven to 190°C (or 375° F)

Step 2
Place the Burek pie along with the included tray on the lower rack of the oven.

Step 3
Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until golden brown on top and bottom.

Step 4
Remove from oven. For optimal results, transfer pie from baking tray by turning upside down onto a serving platter.
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

In theory and in practice, yes, there are more male burek masters.
There is no logical explanation for that fact, perhaps just because work responsibilities require you to get up at 2 or 3 in the morning and get to work. But we as a company are trying to change that.
First, we try to train females who will be successful burek masters.
Second, the working hours of the burek masters start at 8 am and last until 2 or 3 pm.

One of our female burek masters is Marija.
Maria has been working here for several years, she started in another sector, but she showed an interest in being a burek master.

“I love this job, it allows you to be creative and active. Working hours at Kadino Industry Group, are allowing me to complete all the other responsibilities I have.

We have a great working atmosphere, a lot of fun and a friendly relationship with all colleagues in our sector.”

As a company, we have started an academy where we train all those who want to get acquainted with this traditional and valued technique of making burek.
The goal is to train quality burek masters but also to teach the youngest, in order to preserve the tradition of handmade burek.
The candidates in this academy have a chance to fully learn this craft and in the end, to be employed in our company.
